They overbooked their bus. Several of us were not allowed to board as there were no more seats left, though we had tickets.

We went to speak to the ticket agent to ask for a refund. She said she could not refund any ticket purchased online since she did not have access to that system. We called customer service, and they told us we would have to apply for a refund and it would be vetted and decided by their department. So there we were stranded in Boston South Station, unable to get our money back so that we could take another form of transportation to our destination.

This company is completely disfunctional: 1. They don't care at all about their customers

There is a complete disconnect between their online service and in person service so if you purchase online, there is no in-person customer service. Incredible - what year is this?
